Grants
Helping curious minds turn promising ideas into real projects.
Arizona Near Space Research (ANSR) is developing grant opportunities to support community members whose ideas align with our mission of hands-on STEM education, experimentation, and exploration through high-altitude ballooning. Our goal is to help people pursue projects that encourage learning, explore new possibilities, and contribute to the broader near-space community.
Supporting Ideas That Take Flight
Future grant opportunities may support projects such as:
-
Developing balloon payloads and scientific experiments
-
Exploring electronics, sensors, amateur radio, and tracking systems
-
Improving tools and techniques for balloon missions
-
Creating educational resources that help students participate in hands-on STEM activities
Each program will have its own eligibility requirements, funding priorities, and application process. We welcome interest from hobbyists, experimenters, educators, and other community members with ideas that connect to ANSR’s work.
Our First Grant Program Is Coming Soon
We’re preparing to introduce our first grant program, with a launch anticipated later this year. Program details, available funding, application requirements, and deadlines will be announced once finalized. This is the beginning of an effort to create more opportunities for community participation, innovation, and discovery.
